No trekking is involved — it's a fully vehicle-based sightseeing circuit through Kalpa, Tabo, Kaza and Chitkul. The main physical consideration is altitude, since the route passes through some of the world's highest inhabited villages (Komic, Hikkim); an oxygen cylinder and oximeter are carried as a precaution.
